SA's favourite Blues band, adding a red-hot edge to the genre of Blues.  The band has audiences young and old from all over the country tapping their feet to a Blues vibe which is both unique and authentic.  Lead-vocalist Gerald Clark heats up the Blues with his harmonica, rhythm guitar... and that voice!!! "It's as though the god of Blues has sent one of his sidemen down to wrap his vocal chords in velvet, cover them in honey and once the honey had crystallised, filed it to a sufficient roughness to create a perfect balance between grizzly and smooth" (SA Rock Digest)

The band, based in Cape Town, entertains with a style of music that is quite unique, though definitely hot and energetic. Don't be fooled by the genre "Blues"; they have lots of rhythm, lots of soul, and audiences of all ages dance to their music! This young and vibrant five-piece presents the genre in their own unique way, while remaining faithful to the age old Blues tradition. They have audiences from all over the country tapping their feet to a Blues vibe which is both unique and authentic. Gerald Clark with the red-hot Blues-voice is supported by the acrobatic keyboard playing of Jan Krynauw, Henry Steele’s finesse on the lead-guitar, Schalk van der Merwe setting the rules on bass and Tim Rankin banging the drums, Delta Blue is a band not to be missed.

The band has made three CD's: the most recent being the highly acclaimed Inbluesstation, produced by Merchant Records, and the very popular Live (Afrimusik 1999) and Turn (Afrimusik 2000). Their fourth CD Heaven has just been released.
