Afro Blue has been performing together for some years and is led by Susan Barry on piano/keyboards and Philani Ngidi on bass. The band performs in and around Durban and Kwa-Zulu Natal, playing at festivals, shows, government and corporate functions, private parties and weddings. Their repertoire includes contemporary arrangements of jazz standards, Latin jazz, funk and fusion, party music (covers), South African jazz, contempory arrangements of South African songs, and original compositions. Duncan Ebedes, Durban-based singer / songwriter started writing songs at the tender age of nine. Flipside is a highly popular Durban-based function band, headed the well-known multi-instrumentalist Martin Sigamoney. They perform regularly for corporate functions and events across Kwazulu Natal and South Africa; at venues including the ICC (International Convention Centre), The Hilton, The Lost City, Zimbali Lodge, Wild Coast Sun; and for clients such as Lever Bros., Portnet, Ola, FNB, Mondi Paper, Damelin, ABSA and Engen.
