Shimmer….. an all girl group, comprising  sisters Marlize, Chazelle and Michelle have been singing with a passion since childhood. Their love for music has strong influences from Pop, Rock, R&B and Hip Hop genres. This combined with their versatility to sing all the oldies as well, enables them to perform music appealing to a wide range of audiences.

Individually their performances are breathtaking, however combined, Shimmer enthralls crowds with their encapsulating dance moves and complimentary vocals. Chazelle is the very bubbly outspoken lead vocalist, Marlize is the quiet thoughtful one where Michelle injects raw attitude into the group and it’s performance.

Shimmer have performed at a numerous music venues and showcases such as, Sun City, Ushaka Marine world, Golden Horse Casino, Pietermaritzburg City Hall, Vodacom Beach Africa Festival, Midlands Winter Festival, The Durban Arts Festival, to name a few, performing both covers and original compositions from their upcoming CD. They also perform regularly at various corporate promotions and club venues where their fresh new talent is always a hit. Marlize, Chazelle and Michelle have also individually participated in a number of talent competitions including Idols and Yamaha Talent Search and made there way in both to second round after auditions.

 In April 2006, Shimmer appeared as guests on Lotus FM, airing “Blissta, I’ll be your baby, and Unscene”, the first three original tracks off their new debut album. Both their appearance and performance heralded a great response from the public.

All their new original songs have been penned by Chazelle, the groups talented songwriter. Shimmer also regularly collaborates with other artists in performances and musicians to compose and produce new complimenting arrangements for their songs.

Michelle is the groups talented chorographer. Her fresh new style of moves adds a flavor to their performance ensuring an entertaining performance. She also invents the groups dance routines, drawing her inspiration from her favourite international artists such as the Pussycatdolls. This unique combination makes every performance of Shimmer of international standard and unforgettable every time.

Currently in the early days of their career, Shimmer are working hard to finalize their debut album, which is due for release soon. In the mean time these girls heralding from Pinetown, South Africa will be performing wherever they can to enthrall audiences and wow the crowds as they poise to dazzle music lovers all over the world.
