Jazzy D is a name that has been synonymous with the South African club and recording industry  for the past 15 years. The house music DJ started out as a lighting engineer in his family-owned nightclub, which has been in operation since 1969. However, Jazzy D's passion lay "behind the decks" and the Groove Master never looked back since he found his niche. Aside from having a "glamorous" (yet demanding) job, Jazzy D is very much a family man who is serious about his chosen path in life.

His recently released debut album, ANOTHER STORY, is the result of an ever-increasing demand for his brand of music. In the 13-track release, the DJ keeps fans entertained with a few underground mixes complemented by a couple of remixes one would never have thought were possible!

In 2006, he scored a surprise hit with a remix of The Temptations hit LADY SOUL which has, to date, scored triple platinum status. Apart from working on the fruition of his first album, he was one of the musical producers on Jamali's debut self-titled album which achieved platinum status and has also worked with the local great Kabelo on his hit song JIVA SOWETO which achieved triple gold.

His debut album enjoyed great success and brought in a huge demand for live performances. After 9 Months out of the public eye, Jazzy D embarked on his next production project, which was with Denim, a highly successful 3 man R&B band. The 1st single entitled CANT TAKE MY EYES OFF OF U lives up to the DJ Jazzy D’s brand, an excellent South African flavor of house music which he believes defines a true South African sound. This song has achieved no 1 status on three radio stations in South Africa and is featured on Denim’s current no1 Album.
